Dennis H. "Denny" Braun

Dennis H. “Denny” Braun 73, of Elyria passed away Monday March 11, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland following a long illness.  He was born August 7, 1950 in Cleveland. Denny retired from Del Lumber in 2008. He treasured spending time with his grandchildren; and was an avid Cleveland sports fan; he also enjoyed bowling and auto detailing. Survivors include a daughter; Jennifer E. Miller (Michael) of Gahanna, OH., a son; Greg H. Braun (Sue) of Rocky River. Additional survivors include four grandchildren; Jordy, Kane, Eleanor, Samuel, two sisters; Sandi Ockuley (George) of MO., Syd Faux (Jim) of Brunswick, and his companion; Susie Spangler of Elyria. Denny was preceded in death by his wife of twenty nine years; Roberta A. (nee: Reitz), his parents; Harold and Betty Jane (nee: Getzlaff) Braun. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Tuesday March 19, 2024 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday March 20, 2024. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Denny’s memory may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
