Judith Ann (Pukas) Fedako

Judith (Judy), 83, passed away on April 15, 2024 at Northridge Health Center following a lengthy illness.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Judy was born in Pottsville, PA, the eldest child of Charles and Anna Pukas.  She attended Cass Township High School, then began business college when she met the love of her life Edward Fedako.  After their marriage, they moved from the Pittsburgh, PA area to Elyria, OH, where they were long time residents. 

Judy was an energetic mother to her daughters Jacqueline and Marjorie, sewing their clothes, gardening and canning foods, while participating in various women’s clubs.  Judy enjoyed playing cards, bowling, cooking, shopping and later in life became a successful antique dealer always hunting and finding treasures.  Judy was an avid traveler, enjoying frequent trips to Europe, China, Hawaii, Caribbean islands and South America.  It can be said that Judy lived with passion. 

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Edward; her daughters Jacqueline, Marjorie (David) Lackey; granddaughter Julia Siwierka; sisters Rose (Tom) Cunningham, Helene Pyland.  She is predeceased by brother Charles.

A private memorial service will be held for family members.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association. Ed would like to acknowledge the care for Judy at Northridge Health Center and Amedisys Hospice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home  of Elyria 440-322-4626.
